ROBERT MALDONADO

A Personal Profile

Hello all!

My name is Robert, and I am a senior in college at IUPUI. Throughout my life, I believe that there are tons of experiences that have lead me to where I am today. Each individual experience had either nudged me a little in the right direction, or put me on a whole new road towards success. there have been trials and roadblocks that I have had to overcome as well, but there is no better teacher in this world than failure.

During my first semester at IUPUI, I had experienced many set-backs, academically, emotionally, and physically. The isolation that was present during the Corona Virus outbreaks had been especially hard for me because I was thrust into a brand new learning environment with a different set of tools to succeed. In the end, I was able to recover from the bad grades and home sickness and strive to do better during my remaining time of the first semester.

One of the most important aspects in my life is family bonds. Me and my three sisters have always competed with each other in trivial things like who gets to have the tv remote to who has better academic success. But through any though experience that this life will have for me I know that my family will always provide guidance and help throughout the years, and they have truly helped me become the man I am today.

While I was working, I had numerous deadlines for projects that had to be met and I was constantly working, pulling information, reorganizing and throughout my time there. The bustling environment helped me develop skills like task management and goal setting.

HOST AND CASHIER

currently, I have a seasonal part time job as a host and cashier at Buffalo wild wings. Moving into a customer service position was a difficult adjustment, but being placed into a situation that required good interpersonal and communicational skills, not only with customers but with other employees, was extremely beneficial for me.
